The first meeting of the Wednesday Readers was held on 10thApril 2002, at Rosebank Guesthouse. At that meeting the following people were present - Dawn Webster, Mona Bentley, Dorothy Hooper, Gwen Webster, Pet Brazier, Lizzie Lane & Virginia DeSantis. We discussed the idea of forming a group & also how we would like it to function.
The following ideas were adopted: We would meet at 12 midday at the home of one of the members on the 2nd Wednesday of every month except January We would bring our own lunch The host person would supply tea, coffee & water The discussions would not be structured but rely on members feeling free to contribute whatever thoughts and comments they had Books would be choosen by the members - no real rules
